Individual Development Accounts (IDA)

FSCHC is in the ninth year of operating an IDA program, a savings program that matches individual savings with program “match money.”

There are four components of the IDA program:

  1. Savings by the client (to save $1,000 as a goal) in an account established for the program
  2. Goal formulation, financial literacy training, home pre-purchase and credit counseling provided by FSCHC counselors
  3. A “money match” of $3,000.00 to a client working to purchase a home or $2,000.00 to a client seeking an education or starting a business
  4. Successful graduation from the program through home-purchase, business launch or education completed.

There is currently a waiting list for the IDA. Contact the office for more information and to be added to the list.
